Aquamarine and Schorl Crystal Specimen –  NERA 009

Aquamarine crystal with gemmy termination, on schorl crystals

Measurements:  37 x 35 x 27 mm

Description:  A light blue aquamarine crystal (23 x 07 x 07 mm) with a gemmy termination, has the side of its lower half partially embedded in the side of the biggest of the group of schorl crystals, which is well-formed and of the foitite variety. A small feldspar crystal also forms part of the specimen.

The aquamarine has only a few very small nicks to its termination and damage at the bottom where it parted from its matrix, while the schorl has damage to the one end and a pressure mark at the bottom.

The specimen displays well on a flat surface.
