Aquamarine and schorl on quartz crystal



Measurements:  103 x 40 x 27 mm 

Description:  An aquamarine crystal (21 mm long), together with two bits of aquamarine, share a quartz matrix with sprays of slightly transparent schorl and tiny hematite balls. (The slight transparency is visible when viewed through good magnification and held against light.) 

The one side of the quartz is covered by feldspar. The aquamarine has small schorl crystals on and through it.

The aquamarine crystal has only a few minute nicks, barely visible with the naked eye.
