'Double-Headed' Quartz Crystal – VAR 023

'Double headed' smoky quartz crystal

Description:  An interesting, gemmy quartz crystal specimen, starting off with a milky base, and ending in two lovely crystals, one partly double terminated.

The patches of smoky colouring enhances its beauty.

At the back of the specimen is a third (very small) crystal, nestled between the two main crystal heads.

Only very minute nicks to the terminations, but  quite a bit of damage at the back, where the specimen parted from its matrix, on which it had been sitting at an almost flat angle (see bottom photograph, left).
