Chalcedony (Grape Agate) BARG 011

Purple chalcedony slab with crystal aggregates, 2-sided

Measurements:  56 x 51 x 16 mm

Description:  A slab of purple chalcedony with a few aggregates of crystals on it, a two-sided specimen. This is commonly called "Grape Agate". When tilted in light, the flat area has a somewhat velvety appearrance.

The only notable damage is to some of the edges of the specimen.  

Background: These specimens first appeared on the global mineral market in 2016. Although they are fairly abundant at the moment, it is not known how much of this treasure is still left in the ground.
