Clear Quartz Crystal Group – BARG 021

Quartz crystal cluster, mined by ourselves

Measurements:  65 x 53 x 42 mm

Description:  A lovely group of clear quartz crystals, with some of them very clear and gemmy.

One of the gemmy crystals (the tallest crystal) has a tiny quartz crystal partially embedded in it.

Most of the crystals have several very minute balls of clinochlore included. Follow this link for a microscopic image of one of these in a similar crystal, and more information.

The bottom of the specimen is full of numerous small quartz crystals and bits of goethite (image bottom left). This is a specimen that really has a lot to look at, with the help of a loupe.

Most terminations have only small nicks, a few crystals have broken off and there is some damage to one of the specimen's edges. The specimen, which was mined by ourselves, displays well on a flat surface, all-round.
