Smoky Quartz Crystal Group – BARG 070

Smoky quartz crystal with a most unusual termination facet

Measurements:  57 x 37 x 25 mm

Description:  A group of smoky quartz crystals. Two of the shaft facets have a slight roughness and dullness on them. When viewed from the side, one can see some light greyish-green chlorite trapped under the surface, also in the smaller crystal.

The main crystal's termination is undamaged, while ther is a flaw near its base. The rst of the specimen has quite a bit of damage. It still displays well on a flat surface, all-round.

It comes from a recent, spectacular find and specimens from this area will most probably become a novelty soon.
