Description: A smoky quartz crystal (similar to some from Brandberg) with the termination faces having a matt appearance. The short shaft facets have good clarity. The inside has patches of darker smoky colouring, gas and flaws.
The termination point has only a few minute nicks (barely visible with the naked eye), while the rest of the specimen has a few small nicks.
This specimen formed part of a spectacular find near Steinkopf, Northern Cape.
