Measurements:
98 x 62 x 43 mm Description: A
quartz crystal with light smoky patches, lovely gas inclusions and a
flat, slowly moving bubble, about 10 mm long (in the crystal's lower
part, image 2nd on left).
Around midway
is a large area with interesting
growth marks and numerous small facets (image bottom right). About
three quarters of the
shaft facet, directly below the start of one of the termination facets
(image 2nd from the top, right and bottom left) has chipped off,
visible when tilted in light, otherwise not very obvious. This is
possibly because it grew at a sharp angle, and became detached there. Below
the lower
termination ridge is a flawed area (about 30 x 10 mm),
adjacent to
a neat
pressure mark. The narrow
female termination has a few small nicks. The specimen
displays well on a flat surface, at a sharp angle.
