Measurements: 62 x 46 x 57 mm
Description: A group of quartz crystals with calcite and dolomite, on a basalt matrix.
The three main crystals have fused together, forming a lovely centrepiece. The longest crystal, that has only a hint of amethyst colouring in its lower part, is about 28 mm long. Several of the crystals have lovely (mostly reddish) specks of hematite included. A few of the crystals have very small balls of (presumably) pumpellyite on their surfaces.
The main crystal has two very small bubbles, of which the one moves freely in a cavity of about 3½ mm long.
There is damage to some crystals near the specimen's edges. Several of the crystals close to the matrix have contact marks. The three main crystals' terminations appear to be undamaged, but the main crystal has a nick to the back of the specimen, at the top of the shaft area, and a very minute nick to its termination ridge.
The matrix has been trimmed on the bottom and two of its sides, for better display.
