Measurements: 72 x 50 x 43 mm Description: A beautiful quartz crystal (50 x 34 x 25 mm) with perfect, undamaged termination, sits attached to the side of a piece of basalt matrix, at an angle of about 50º. The matrix also hosts numerous small, drusy quartz crystals, and a small prehnite crystal. Two very small analcime crystals are attached to one of the main crystal's shaft facets. Right at the base of the main crystal is a tiny patch of amethyst colouring. A small rainbow can be seen when tilted in light. There is a neat pressure mark on one of the main crystal's shaft facets in its lower half, running over onto a 2nd shaft facet. The bottom of the main crystal is damaged, where it parted from its matrix. Most of the small crystals are in good condition, but a few along the edges of the matrix are damaged.
