Quartz Crystal Specimen with (?)Chalcedony - NBB 063

Amethyst / smoky quartz crystal specimen with (?)chalcedony

Measurements:  54 x 35 x 23 mm

Description:  A few quartz crystals with light smoky to amethyst colouring, fused together into one, with patches of milkiness. The main crystal is a semi-sceptre, and has a very faint amethyst phantom.

The specimen has lovely growth patterns on its shafts and bits and patches of (?)chalcedony on its surface, which gives it a special look. Two of the crystals are double terminated. There is some limestone attached towards the bottom of the specimen.

The specimen has a few minute nicks and natural pressure marks, but the second biggest crystal has a large nick on the termination edge, facing towards the specimen centre (visible on right hand side of image 2nd from top, left), and there is some damage towards the centre on the lower part of the specimen shaft (see image 3rd from the top, left).
