Quartz Crystals on (?)Chalcedony Matrix - NBB 069

Two quartz crystals, the biggest with inclusions, on matrix

Measurements:  90 x 65 x 56 mm

Description:  Two quartz crystals, the largest (45 x 15 x 15 mm) with a very faint amethyst colouring, gas inclusions and a few small moving bubbles, sit on an unknown matrix (possibly chalcedony) which, in turn, sits on a thin basalt matrix. The (?)chalcedony has a thin, black coating of a mineral unknown to us.

The matrix has been trimmed on two sides, and the specimen displays well on a flat surface. Neither of the crystals have any notable damage.
