Measurements: 45 x 31 x 26 mm Description: A stunning specimen consisting of a double terminated quartz crystal with gemmy upper half and faint clouds of very light amethyst colouring, that sits on a thin quartz matrix overcoated with gemmy quartz and calcite crystals. Two of the small calcite crystals have an orangy colouring. There are bits of a brown, botryoidal (to us, unknown) mineral on part of the matrix. Due to the delicate nature of the specimen, it has not been cleaned. The main crystal's main termination
ridges have only a few very minute nicks (barely visible with the naked
eye), while it's lesser termination has two narrow nicks (not very
obvious) and the 2nd biggest crystal has a small nick to its lesser
termination point and a pressure mark to its side. Weight of Specimen: 14.0 g Chemical Composition:
SiO2 Hardness on Mohs Scale: 7 Location: Specimen Code: NBB 088 US $ 120
