Measurements: 42 x 18 x 12 mm
Description: A gemmy, double / multi-terminated quartz crystal group with complicated growth structure. It has lovely gas inclusions and a tiny rainbow, seen when tilted in light.
It looks like initially there were two specimens, one being a double terminated crystal, and the other, a joined pair. At some stage the two then fused together, becoming one specimen, and at the place where this happened, a faden line occurred. Because this happened at a slight angle, the resulting new specimen was bent. Across the joint another tiny, double terminated quartz crystal (with two tiny crystals on top) formed. It is clear, but because it lies across the faden line, it looks opaque (image bottom left).
The specimen appears to have no damage.
