Aquamarine Cystal Group – NERA 026

Measurements:  20 x 15 x 10 mm

Description:  A group of small aquamarine crystals with bits of schorl on it. The aquamarine crystals generally have good clarity.

The only damage is to the sides of the specimen.

Chemical Composition:   Be₃Al₂Si₆O₁₈  (aquamarine)
                                        NaFe²⁺₃Al₆Si₆O₁₈(BO₃)₃(OH)₄  (schorl)       .
Hardness on Mohs Scale:  (aquamarine) 7.5 - 8.0  
                                          (schorl)  7.5
