Small geode of azurite crystals with excellent colour

Measurements:  36 x 35 x 28 mm

Description:  A small geode filled with azurite crystals which have an excellent colour. The matrix is a conglomorate of mosthly azurite and duftite. 

The crystals have little damage - only a few small nicks to some edges.

Weight of Specimen:  36.6 g

Chemical Composition:   Cu3(CO3)2(OH)2  (azurite)

Hardness on Mohs Scale:   (azurite) 3.5 – 4

Location:  Tsumeb, Northern Namibia.
