Rhodochrosite on Matrix - SKMF 015

Measurements:  65 x 57 x 31 mm

Description:  Aggregates of tiny rhodochrosite crystals with pink / lavender colouring, sit on a conglomerate rock matrix. 

The only notable damage is to the edges of the specimen, and close to it. 

The specimen was found in January 2014 at the N'Chwaning 1 mine.

Hardness on Mohs Scale:   (rhodochrosite)  3.5 - 4
