A rarity
for the Kalahari Manganese Fields. Quartz crystals up to 38 mm
long, on a
matrix of hematite and (?)manganite. The
combination of glittering quartz crystals on shiny black hematite,
bits of reddish-brown iron oxide as well as minute yellow crystals of
an
unknown mineral, make this a very interesting specimen. The
main quartz crystal is double terminated. Except for a few small
nicks, the main side of the specimen appears to be undamaged. Weight
