Quartz on Rhodochrosite - SKMF 031


Very, VERY special specimen of quartz on rhodochrosite on matrix

Measurements:  44 x 25 x 17 mm

Description:   Small, gemmy quartz crystals (the largest a double terminated group of crystals of ± 8 mm) sit on a thin layer of pink rhodochrosite, which, in turn, sits on a matrix of manganite and rock rhodochrosite.  

The quartz crystals appear to be coloured light pink, and that makes it very, very special!
