Description: A cluster of semi-clear quartz crystals with very light amethyst colouring. The yellowish colour in the specimen is due to iron oxide staining. The image bottom right shows the bottom of the specimen, where one can clearly see how a secondary quartz crystal growth was preceded by an initial quartz growth, now forming the 'core' of the specimen.
This lovely specimen
unfortunately has quite a few nicks, but still displays well on a flat surface, all-round.
