Description: A group of quartz crystals wtih a dark amethyst appearance. When held against light, one can see that the coulouring is caused by an amethyst quartz crystal that received a sprinkling of black hematite or other metallic mineral, as well as hematite on some areas. That was followed by a second generation of quartz growth.
The terminations have a few very small nicks, while the rest of the specimen has growth and pressure marks and a few nicks near the base.
The top right image shows the colour when held against a strong light.
