Description: An amethyst quartz crystal sceptre on a milky stem. A thin layer of secondary quartz partially covers about half of the initial crystal, which has a slightly rough surface. Bits of feldspar are attached to the specimen. Along two of its ridges, where the secondary layer's borders are, there appears (at first glance) to be minute nicks. However - when viewed with a loupe and turned in light, one can see these are actually extremely minute facets. The
bottom and stem of the specimen have contact marks.
