Measurements: 34 x 27 x 20 mm
Description: Lovely gemmy, green fluorite crystals (with minute pyrite inclusions) sit on a group of pale quartz crystals which, in turn, sit on a thin matrix of quartz and feldspar.
Two of the quartz crystals each has a nick to their terminations, and there is some damage is to the edges of the specimen. The matrix has a few flaws.
Like many of these fluorite specimens from Riemvasmaak, it has undergone a complicated cleaning technique with strong acid whereby unwanted coatings are dissolved, to expose the fluorite crystals better. During this process, some of the matrix around the green crystals have been affected (white areas).
