Measurements: 68 x 37 x 26 mm Description: A group of quartz crystals where a few smaller ones grew around a bigger crystal. The crystals have shallow phantoms of bright orangy hematite colouring, with the biggest one having almost half of its shaft exposed - the original crystal before the rest of it received the orangy coating, and then the layer of clear quartz. The crystals have only a few minute nicks (hardly visible with the naked eye) and two of the smaller crystals each has a flaw. There is also some damage to the edges. The specimen grew at an almost horizontal
angle, and displays well on a flat surface. Chemical
