Quartz crystal with dark orangy-brown 'cap'

Measurements:  47 x 28 x 25 mm

Description:  An interesting group of quartz crystals with a orangy-brown colouring due to a hematite coating over previous quartz growth, giving rise to a shallow phantom in the main crystal and also in some of the lesser crystals. 

The back of the specimen is damaged, and the main crystal has a few minute nicks to its female termination.
