Description: A quartz crystal with a lovely smoky colouring and a few small quartz crystals attached near its bottom. Two of its shaft facets have a 'sandblasted' / pitted appearrance. On closer examination, one can see that it is, in fact, a phantom crystal, and these faces are exposed first generation growth.
1st image: What appears to be a big nick to the left of the termination base, is a pressure mark, seen clearly when tilted in light.
The two images on the right are different views of the same area seen on the image bottom left, where one can see a fairly uncommon phenomenon, where a part of the crystal broke out, and then rehealed completely, with new facets (image top right). To the left of the rehealed part of the crystal (which looks like a large nick on the bottom left image) one can clearly see growth marks (image bottom right).
The crystal has a few minute nicks, contact and pressure marks, and damage near its bottom.
