Description: A light smoky quartz crystal of good length. There are a few cavities on the shaft's surface, probably the result of minute dolomite crystals that had once sat there, and then weathered away over time. About one third of the crystal's length from the bottom are two extremely thin rutile needles inside, lying only a few mm apart, each roughly 10 mm long. If you have a good loupe, you may be able to spot them, especially while turning the crystal in light, where the rutile may then reflect it. The

has a few small nicks. At the lower end of the crystal are a few
