Description: A quartz crystal with light smoky colouring and fairly good clarity. There are a few internal flaws, one of which gives rise to a small rainbow, seen when tilted in light.
At the lower end of the crystal is a ridge (can be mistaken for a crack at a quick glance) where the one part of the facet is elevated slightly above the other part (image 2nd from top, right).
The termination ridge
has only a few minute nicks, and there are two pressure marks in the
top half
of the crystal. The lower half has several prominent pressure
marks, and a few nicks.
