Description: A slice of honeycomb calcite. We are unsure as to where it comes from, as we purchased it in a lot with other specimens. It looks like someone may have put a shiny coating / protective layer on it, and appears to have been polished.
The image with blue sky as background was taken with the sun shining directly from behind.
There are a few nicks on some
of the
ridges.
