Botryoidal Chalcedony (Grape Agate) Cluster – VAR 041

Measurements:  43 x 32 x 23 mm

Description:  A multi-sided cluster of purple botryoidal chalcedony crystals, with some aggregates having a greenish colouring, possibly caused by inclusions of celadonite.

The specimen has a few nicks and contact marks.

Background: These specimens first appeared on the global mineral market in 2016. Although they are fairly abundant at the moment, it is not known how much of this treasure is still left in the ground.
