Botryoidal Chalcedony (Grape Agate) Plate – VAR 041

Description:  A two-sided plate of botryoidal chalcedony crystals. The green colouring is caused by celadonite.

This unusual specimen (best appreciated with the help of a loupe) has very little damage - only a few nicks.

Background: These specimens first appeared on the global mineral market in 2016. Although they are fairly abundant at the moment, it is not known how much of this treasure is still left in the ground.
